Chicken skewers are a tremendous thing to have for the BBQ, whether or not they're glazed in a sticky sauce, or marinated to perfection before being thrown at the grill. And they're not just for BBQ season, fowl skewers are first-rate for all occasions!


Ingredients
6 chicken thigh fillets
2 tbsp. wholegrain mustard
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
3 tbsp. maple syrup
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. tomato ketchup
You will also need
6 wooden skewers, soaked in cold water for 30min

Directions
Trim sinew and any excess fat from the chicken, then cut into roughly 2.5cm (1in) chunks. In a bowl whisk together the remaining ingredients with some seasoning. Add chicken and mix so the chicken is thoroughly coated. If you have time, cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for 3hr.
Skewer the chicken, ensuring it’s evenly spaced and not too bunched up. Barbecue or grill over/under medium heat for 8-10min, turning halfway, or until cooked through. Serve.
