Easy Cooked Steaks Without A Grill

INGREDIENTS

One inch thick New York strip or another sirloin steak of choice

Canola oil

Steak seasoning

Cast iron skillet


INSTRUCTIONS

Grease your cast-iron skillet, yes even if it’s well seasoned.

Place your cast iron skillet in a preheated 450-degree oven for ten minutes.

Pour a teaspoon of oil onto each side of your steaks, using your hands to make sure it’s well oiled.

Season well on both sides with your favorite blend of steak seasoning.

When your cast iron skillet is ready, remove it from the oven and place it onto the eye of your stove. USE CAUTION!

Turn the eye of your stove onto medium-high heat.

Immediately place your steak into the skillet, timing a minute to a minute and a half per side.

Place your skillet directly in the oven and using a timer, you want to cook for 2 minutes.

Rest your steaks, do not pierce them with a fork, do not cut them with a knife for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, you can enjoy your perfectly cooked medium-rare steaks.
