Single loaded mashed potatoes have a floury flesh which is well suited for preparing mashed potatoes. It is ideal to obtain nice smooth mashed potatoes. In addition, it is purple, which makes the puree really original. Purée is already the favorite dish of children but it's purple, it borders on hysteria at the table!
Ingredients
3 cups mashed potatoes
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 slices bacon crumbles
2 Tablespoons, melted butter
3-4 sliced green onions
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 cup sour cream
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
Additional Sour Cream and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
In a large bowl mix together mashed potatoes, melted butter, grated cheese, bacon crumbles, chopped green onions, garlic powder, flour, sour cream, salt, pepper, and egg.
Dust hands with flour and form mixture into patties.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Carefully place potato cakes in hot oil. Fry patties until golden brown on both sides, 5 to 7 minutes. Serve with sour cream and garnish sliced onions.
