 Creamy, classic slow-cooked potato soup that requires only five ingredients and 15 minutes to prepare. When it's time to eat, garnish with classic baked potato toppings such as bacon.

Ingredients

4 to 6 large yellow potatoes, diced

1/2 large onion, diced

2 garlic cloves, chopped

2 cans (540 ml [19 oz] each) cream of mushroom

500 ml (2 cups) chicken broth

Salt and pepper

1/2 cup (125 ml) sour cream

1/2 cup (125 ml) cooked bacon, crumbled

1/2 cup (125 ml) grated sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup (125 ml) chopped green onions

Steps

Prevent your screen from going dark while you cook.

Place potatoes, onion, garlic, soup, and chicken broth in a 3.8 to 4.7 L (4 to 5 quart) slow cooker.

Cover and cook for 4 to 6 hours on high or 6 to 8 hours on low. Mix well; season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve, garnishing with sour cream, bacon, green onions, and cheese.
