Here is an easy and really delicious strawberry cake. And just like I like, it's a super easy recipe that only requires 5 ingredients and only 15-20 minutes of prep time.
And I'll say it again, this cake is a treat. The pastry has a slightly sandy texture that charms the taste buds. The tartness of the strawberries blends perfectly with the sweetness of the batter. And it's not an oversight not to use yeast, no no we don't want it so that the dough keeps its slightly sandy texture.
Ingredients
For 6-8 people
For a 20 cm mold
- 160 g of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 150 g of flour
- 50 melted butter
- 400 g of fresh strawberries
Preparation
1- Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Line your cake mold with baking paper. Cut the edges of the paper that protrude (otherwise it will burn in the oven!)
2- Wash, hull then cut the strawberries in half lengthwise, and set aside.
3- Mix the eggs and the sugar until the mixture turns white (about 4 minutes with an electric whisk). Add the flour and butter, then mix well with a wooden spoon.
4- Pour the dough into the mold. Distribute the strawberries evenly on top (rounded side out). Bake in the middle of the oven for 35-40 minutes.
5- Let the cake cool before removing it from the mold.
