I propose you a recipe for Sauteed shrimps with curry leaves, an easy and healthy meal. I prepared it for an appetizer but it can also be served as a main course with a little rice. I don't hide from you that this Chinese recipe is not made for dieters but it is so good! The curry leaves really flavor the dish. You can easily find them in grocery stores.
Ingredients
450g Shrimps
1tbsp Cornstarch
4 Egg yolks
1tbsp unsweetened condensed milk
Curry leaves
1 red pepper
60g Butter
PREPARATIONS
1 Wash and remove the excess antennae and legs of the shrimp.
Mix them with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and dip them in hot frying oil.
When the shrimp become lightly browned, remove them and place them on paper towels.
2 In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with the unsweetened condensed milk.
Cut the red pepper into small pieces.
Melt the butter in a wok and pour the egg yolk mixture.
Mix actively and add the curry leaves and the pepper. Salt and pepper lightly.
3 Add the shrimp.
Pour in a teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt.
Sauté for several minutes.
When the shrimp are golden brown and crisp, remove from the heat and serve.
