Best Chocolate Crinkles


Ingredients 

1 cup water

½ cup chocolate chips

¾ cup granulated sugar

¼ cup cornstarch Chocolate Crispies 2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons cornstarch

½ teaspoon salt 


Preparations

To make Chocolate Crinkles, you'll want to whip the egg whites until they're standing in stiff peaks. Next, add in your two tablespoons of sugar and let that sit for about 10 minutes while the sugar is absorbed into the egg whites. Then, fold in 1 1/3 cup of flour (I like all-purpose flour here because it's so versatile) and one teaspoon of baking powder until all of the flour is well incorporated into the batter.

Once the dough is mixed properly, you can use a ziplock bag to portion out your dough. You want to make about 16-18 cookies. The cookie dough won't be super-flaky or perfect, but it'll hold together just fine and will still taste amazing. Use some scissors to snip the corner of the bag so that some of the batters can spill out on their own (you'll know what I mean once you try it!). Then, use your finger to flatten the batter into dough balls on your countertop.

Place 8 baking sheets into your oven and preheat them for about 3 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
