Authentic American Cookies


Ingredients

250g of flour

1⁄2 sachet of yeast

125 g of white sugar

125 g brown sugar (brown sugar)

1 sachet of vanilla sugar

1 pinch of salt

chocolate

125 g of melted butter

1 egg


Preparations

STEP 1

In a salad bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugars, salt, and vanilla sugar.

2ND STEP

In a bowl, beat the egg and add the melted butter.

STEP 3

Put the butter + egg mixture in the flour and sugar mixture all at once.

STEP 4

Add the chocolate chips (white, dark, or milk). Mix with a wooden spoon.

STEP 5

Put in the refrigerator for 1 hour (not essential).

STEP 6

Preheat the oven to 240 ° C (thermostat 8).

STEP 7

Shape cookies about 5 cm in diameter and 1/2 cm thick.

STEP 8

Place them on the baking sheet covered with parchment paper, spacing them apart.

STEP 9

Bake 10 minutes per batch.

STEP 10

Let cool a bit before peeling them off and placing them on a wire rack.

STEP 11

Cookies should be soft in the center and crunchy at the edges.
