I'm going to show you today, how to make homemade chocolate chip cookies without all the hassle. How difficult could that be? I tried it and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. My family loves this recipe and they say it's better than anything you can buy at a bakery! Hope you enjoy these delicious cookies as much as we do.
Ingredients
1/2 cup canola oil
2 tablespoons butter or shortening, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (can use white)
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Preparations
In a small bowl, combine the egg and yogurt. Put aside. In another small bowl, combine the sugars. Combine oil and butter in a medium mixing bowl with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add the oil mixture to a large mixing bowl and beat until smooth.
Add the egg/yogurt mixture. Beat on medium speed until smooth.
Add the vanilla and beat on low speed until well blended.
Add 1 cup of the sugar mixture to the large mixing bowl and beat until blended.
Add the rest of the sugar mixture, little by little, beating on low speed until blended after each addition (beating too long after each addition will cause the sugar crystals to dissolve, which in turn will give your cookies texture. pasty).
Remove 1/2 cup of the batter from a large mixing bowl and place it in another small mixing bowl.
Mix food coloring or coloring (you can use any color you want) until the desired color is achieved.
The dough should be soft enough to form balls but not sticky. I use 3/4 cup of paste. If you want to roll the dough into balls, place the remaining 1/2 cup of dough in a large zippered bag, wring out all the air, and seal the bag.
Place half of the cookie dough in another small bowl and mix in food coloring or coloring until the desired color is achieved. Make sure all cookie dough balls contain food coloring.
Place the dough balls on a flat surface (I use a large cutting board). With your hand, roll each ball into a ball.
