I love the shiny look of my cookies cut out using this icing sugar icing (which hardens)! This frosting is perfect for dipping your sugar cookies or flooding Christmas cookies, as well as a thin, semi-transparent frosting on cookies cakes, and other desserts. It's so fast and doesn't contain a lot of ingredients
Ingredients
-3 sticks of butter, softened
-1 cup of powdered sugar
-1 tbsp orange zest
-2 tbsp milk or cream (cream - for a thicker consistency) (milk - for a thinner consistency)
-shredded coconut (optional garnish)
Preparations
In a large mixing bowl, use your hands to combine the butter and sugar. Then mix in the orange zest and milk or cream. Mix until smooth, adjusting as desired for thickness by adding more crème or milk as necessary. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use on cookies.
