 Pancakes are a common breakfast food that's sweet and typically served with warm fruit. Sweet Pancakes with Delicious Berries and Banana Slices


Ingredients

3/4 cup whole wheat flour

1 cup all-purpose white flour 

1 tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

2 tbsp sugar (you can use brown sugar or leave this out to make this a low-sugar recipe)

3 tbsp honey (optional)

1 1/2 cups low-fat buttermilk. 

2 bananas


Preparations

Whisk your dry ingredients together in a small bowl. Whisk together buttermilk, honey, and egg whites in a separate bowl. Pour wet mixture into dry mixture and stir until just combined. Let batter sit for 10 minutes while you heat up a griddle to medium-high heat. When the griddle is ready, pour your batter onto it and cook until bubbles are popping on top of your pancake, or around 3 minutes. Flip carefully with either a spatula or by sliding another plate under the first plate and quickly flipping both over when pancakes are cooked on one side.
