 Pizza is pretty much always better when it has cheese on the crust, so it’s no surprise that this recipe is one of our most popular. What is surprising though, is that the recipe couldn’t be simpler. All you need to do to make your own cheesy crust pizza with a crispy cheese crust is follow these 4 easy steps:

Ingredients

White pizza dough, 

mozzarella cheese, 

shredded parmesan or Romano cheese, 

Any kind of tomato sauce (preferably homemade), 

Pepperoni slices and Italian seasoning are all you need for this simple but delicious recipe.


Preparations

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  After that, you only have to prepare the white pizza dough and put it in the refrigerator overnight (you can also do this step the night before).  In order to make the white pizza dough, simply combine in a food processor: whole wheat flour, olive oil, salt, yeast, water and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth.  Put the dough in a bowl covered with a damp cloth and let it rise until double in size (about 30 minutes).  After that let it rest for another 15 minutes then give it another knead for about 10 minutes.  Set it in the refrigerator overnight.

Cut the pepperoni slices into squares of about 1/2 inch in thickness. 

After that, spread the tomato sauce over the dough, then follow with a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, and shredded parmesan or Romano cheese. 

Next, add freshly chopped basil leaves and sprinkle olive oil.  

Finally, bake in your oven for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.  Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
