This recipe is wonderfully flavorful, colorful, and nutritious. It's a wholesome meal your whole family will love and enjoy.
Ingredients:
1 cup Vegetable Stock
3 tablespoons olive oil, divided use
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
5 celery stalks, chopped
2 carrots, peeled and chopped into chunks
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup of fresh kale or baby spinach
4-5 Baby Bella Mushrooms, sliced
8 ounces of Boar's Head Ground Sausage
1 cup cooked rice
1 can Nestle Cream of Mushroom Soup
Directions:
#1 - Wash the rice cooker pot if needed. Sometimes little pieces of rice get stuck to the sides. If you notice this, use a sharp knife to remove them before beginning!
#2- Put in all of your vegetables for the nighttime steamed veggie pouch that you'll be making later this evening! Your veggies are going in raw so they can be salted or seasoned however you'd like at dinner time.
#3- Pour about 1/4 cup of water into the rice cooker pot. You don't have to measure exactly. You know it's good when it doesn't look like water anymore.
#4- Put in the potatoes. [Fresh or frozen are both good options].
#5- Put in your rice cooker steamer insert and close on both sides to lock it in place.
#6- Set your time to 2:45 hours and press start!
Not:
This recipe can be cooked to perfection on high, low, or medium heat settings (this may vary depending on the appliance). You just want the rice to be cooked and you can see that it is cooking. You can also adjust your cooking time as needed. The rice bowl will not be cooked perfectly at 2:45 hours. The rice will continue to cook in the rice cooker and you'll want to let it stay in for about 15 more minutes after cooking is completed
