Ingredients

1 large egg, beaten

1 1/4 cups buttermilk

1 tablespoon Golden Barrel baking molasses

1 teaspoon Golden Barrel baking molasses

1/4 cup butter, melted

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 cup yellow cornmeal


Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the egg, buttermilk, molasses and melted butter.

Add the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Add the cornmeal last, stirring just until combined. The batter will be lumpy.

Scoop/pour out Golden Barrel Coconut Oil on skillet and wait till hot. Pour pancake batter onto hot skillet to form pancakes. Cook until bubbles form around the outer edges then flip and brown on the other side.

Serve immediately with butter and Golden Barrel Pancake and Waffle Syrup.
