Ingredients
-2 cups shredded or chopped chocolate cookies (about 12)
-1/2 cup unsalted butter
-1/4 cup vegetable oil
-8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips (8 oz. bag)
-1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
-1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky) (about 8 ounces)
Preparations
Step One: Butter Your Pan
Your first step is to butter and line the pan that you are going to bake your cookies in. Use a pan that is about 9 inches by 13 inches. Lightly coat the bottom of your pan with nonstick spray and then line it with parchment paper. If you don't have nonstick spray, use a pastry brush to coat the bottom of your pan with melted butter. Then lay your parchment paper on the sprayed surface.
Step Two: Mix Your Dry Ingredients
After you have prepared your pan, it is time to blend up your dry ingredients. For this recipe, you are going to need: 1 and 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Measure out all of these ingredients in a medium bowl and then whisk them together until they are well mixed. Put them aside for the time being.
Step Three: Mix Your Wet Ingredients
Now it is time to mix up your wet ingredients. To start off, you are going to need 1 and 1/2 cups of peanut butter, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, and 8 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips (an 8 oz. bag). Measure all of these ingredients into a medium bowl and then stir them together with a spoon until they are well blended. You may need to microwave them for about 10 seconds in order to get them slightly melted. This will make it easier for you to blend everything together properly.
