Breaded tilapia, oven baked

 Children love to fish and especially Breaded tilapia, oven-baked. Decorated with its golden color, the fish is often much more attractive. You can find it ready to eat in the frozen section of the grocery store, but you have to admit that the breading is sometimes almost as thick as the piece of fish it covers! Moreover, the pieces are pre-fried and therefore very greasy. The good news is that you can easily prepare them yourself, without dipping them in frying oil to obtain a nice crunchy crust: you get the same result when you put them in the oven. Less fat, richer in fish... there's really nothing to deprive yourself of!

vegetable oil spray

1/2 cup of milk

1/2 cup prepared ranch dressing

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup of breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan

1/2 tsp. seasoned salt

1/2 tsp. 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 tsp. celery salt

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. onion powder

1/2 tsp. paprika

1/2 tsp. parsley

1/4 tsp. 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

8 tilapia fillets, 6 oz each

Preheat the oven to 425 ° F (220 ° C). Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with vegetable oil.

In a first bowl, combine the milk and the Ranch dressing. In a second bowl, place the flour. In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, seasoned salt, pepper, celery salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, parsley, and basil. Spray the top of the breadcrumb mixture with a little oil, mix and repeat twice, until the mixture is slightly damp. Place this mixture in a large resealable Ziploc bag.

Squeeze the tilapia fillets one by one in the flour, then in the ranch dressing. Then place in the Ziploc bag, close, and shake to cover them with breadcrumbs. Arrange the fillets on the baking sheet. Spray lightly with oil.
