 I’ve got a delicious recipe for you today. I call it Shrimp Broccoli Creamy Penne Pasta Recipe. It’s one of those dishes that you know is going to be good the moment it's cooking in your kitchen, but the taste is always better than what you imagine. This recipe is quite simple to make and takes just a couple of hours from start to finish, depending on how long you have it simmering on the stovetop.


Shrimp Broccoli Creamy Penne Pasta Recipe




Ingredients:

-1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

-3 tablespoons butter or margarine 

-Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste 

-2 cups broccoli florets 

-1 cup heavy cream 

-1/2 cup evaporated milk or whole milk 

-8 ounces penne pasta (preferably whole wheat)


Directions: 

Cook pasta according to package instructions. In a large pot or frying pan, cook the shrimp in 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side until pink. 

Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.

In the meantime, add broccoli florets to your pasta for the last few minutes of cook time.

Remove shrimp from pan and set aside. Add remaining butter or margarine to the pan. Pour in heavy cream and evaporated milk or whole milk, and boil for 2 minutes until slightly thickened. 

Add cooked pasta and broccoli florets into the saucepan, and stir well to combine the ingredients. Add more seasoning if needed and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
